About the WS Turkey Creek Ranch
The WS Turkey Creek Ranch LLC is a 5,500 acre ranch located in Zavala County where true South
Texas trophies have been harvested. The ranch has been in Watkins family
for almost 50 years. Over the last 50 years the ranch was strictly used for family and friends to hunt
and fish. It is only recently that the ranch has been opened
up to the outside for hunts.
Over the past nine years renowned biologist Murphy Ray and the Watkins Family
have managed the Whitetail Deer and Rio Grande Turkey on the Ranch. Primarily, management animals have been harvested and in small numbers some trophy game. In 2010
a 1,000 acre pasture was high
fenced and enhanced genetics from native game have been introduced. The WS Turkey Creek Ranch LLC already possessed some of the finest
trophies in South Texas and is dedicated to improving the game quality while maintaining
a truely "wild" ranch.
This is not a buck pasture, the doe introduced into this pasture are sired from 200
class deer that will produce high scoring deer.
